STEAM GENERATOR
A steam generator generates steam that will later be used in drives for steam turbines or for heating. Steam generators and steam consumers together form a steam power plant. Steam power plants operate on the Rankine cycle, which remains one of the most important industrial cyclic processes. Steam power plants are mainly used for the generation of electrical energy. The ET 850 steam generator and the ET 851 axial steam turbine together form a laboratory-scale steam plant. The ET 850 trainer serves to familiarize students with the components and operating principle of a steam generator and allows them to examine the characteristic values of the system.
