The WP 120 equipment studies the buckling behavior of bars exposed to different factors. All relevant buckling problems are demonstrated in tests. For this, it is held or supported by both ends on the test equipment, depending on the case of buckling. With a variable height loading frame and a hand-operated spindle, a compressive force is exerted on the bar. An axial bearing between the spindle and the bar support prevents torsional stress on the test piece bar.
