HM 165 can be used to study infiltration and groundwater fluxes after precipitation. The variable precipitation density and areas and the different groundwater supply and drainage possibilities allow a wide variety of experiments. The HM 165 contains a closed water circuit with storage tank and pump. The central element is a sand-filled stainless steel test tank with tilt adjustment. To study precipitation, a precipitation device is available.
