The GL 200 lathe gear model has all the essential characteristics and properties that a workshop lathe also has: a switchable main gear, a feed gear for driving the guide screw (Norton gear), a gear change wheels and a reversing mechanism. The drive is carried out through a hand crank with a graduated disc. The processes develop slowly and without any danger. In this test equipment, the tool carriage only performs a longitudinal movement. Automatic longitudinal advance is achieved with the help of the guide screw. A removable recording drum simulates the part, a style replaces the cutting tool. Since the gear elements are exposed, all functions can be clearly observed. All tests are easily reproducible and present numerous possibilities for variation.
