HM 170 is an open “Eiffel” type wind tunnel, with which the aerodynamic properties of different models can be demonstrated and measured. To do this, the surrounding air is sucked in and accelerated. In a measuring section, air flows around a model, e.g. e.g., a supporting surface. The air is then decelerated in a diffuser and blown outward with the help of a blower.
