Experiments can be carried out with two important models of hydraulic turbines: Pelton turbine and Francis turbine available as accessories HM 450.01 and HM 450.02. The closed water circuit consists of a tank, a standardized centrifugal pump with variable speed and a throttle valve to adjust the back pressure.
