With the TM 140 it is possible to generate free and forced torsional vibrations and analyze the effects of torsional rigidity, mass and damping on frequency and amplitude. The core of the test equipment is a metal torsion bar. Using clamping plates, dough discs with different torsional inertia can be fixed to the bar. In this way, it is possible to build a torsional vibration system with a maximum of three masses.
