Demonstration of Dissolved Air Flotation
DEMONSTRATION OF DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION
Flotation processes (mechanical water treatment) serve to separate solid materials from a liquid (for example water). The most widely used flotation process in water treatment is dissolved air flotation. The suspension (raw water) to be cleaned is placed in a tank. To improve the buoyancy of the contaminant, flocculation chemicals can be added to the raw water. Fossil flour, for example, is suitable as a contaminant. The raw water is transported with a pump and enters the flotation column through a vertical pipe. It is possible to adjust the height of the inlet pipe.
