SOLID - LIQUID EXTRACTION
The CE 630 allows a soluble component to be extracted from a solid mixture with a rotary extractor. In 3-stage continuous mode, the pure solvent (distilled water) is supplied from a tank to the sparger of the first extraction stage, where it is distributed over the solid mixture (extraction material). The solvent filters through the extraction material, absorbs its soluble components (potassium hydrogen carbonate) and passes to the collecting segments. From there, the enriched solvent is supplied to the next stage sprayer. After passing through the last stage, the extract (the solvent loaded with the extracted component) is collected in the extraction tank. The extraction material is continuously fed to the rotating extractor cells by a spiral conveyor. The extraction material and the solvent move in countercurrent. The extraction residue falls into a tank after one revolution of the extractor.
